To boost your energy, accelerate fat loss, tone or shape, cardiovascular or sports specifics, strength, balance or flexibility. Whatever YOUR reason may be, there’s a plan specifically for you and for YOUR body. Making exercise a part of your life you will have long term benefits. Change isn’t always easy but who says you can’t do it but yourself. Mind over matter, determination and motivation is how you will succeed. Improving your health is the best investment you can make. If I could ask for one thing and one thing only it would be more time. Give yourself more time. Change one day at a time, stick with your trainer for at least 3 months and if you’re not happy try something new. Consistency equals long term success. Set realistic goals and we will achieve them together. I have the energy if you have the courage.
Personal Training by Tim Shevlin

As with most teenage boys, when I began working out the only thing that I cared about was how much weight I could bench press and if my arms looked good at the beach. I totally forgot that I had a pair of legs and as for my back if I couldn’t see it in the mirror (which I couldn’t) there was no need to worry about it. Fortunately for me, I quickly realized (with a little help from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s guide to bodybuilding) that you needed to train your whole physique in order to have the overall appearance which I desired.
I was and still am a firm believer in old school weight lifting techniques, performing heavy compound exercises with free weights should be paramount in most people’s training. This combined with lighter core intensive exercises using bands is the perfect combination for a total package physique. Now there are exceptions, injuries, available equipment and someone’s desired goals may prevent the need to train in this fashion. The reason I believe this style of training is necessary is two-fold: Lifting heavy puts more strain on your body than you are used to in everyday life, your body responds by releasing more growth hormone (men and women) and testosterone (men only), which keeps you looking younger, decreases your fat storage and increases your lean muscle mass. Second and most important is the speed at which you will see results.
If you are training for a triathlon, wanting to increase your drive 40 yards on the golf course, look better in your bikini or you want to compete in a body building show… the bottom line is that you need to increase your lean muscle mass and do it in a way that specifically fits your needs. My style of training will get you the results that you desire faster than you ever imagined.
